🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Built for UK & Scottish households

Your household finances, calculated correctly

Most finance apps use English tax rates for everyone. VAULT uses the right numbers — Scottish income tax bands, NHS pension modelling, the personal allowance taper. Your figures, not an approximation.

Scottish rate payer? Every other personal finance app charges you tax as if you live in England. VAULT doesn't.

Everything a UK household actually needs

Built to cover the full financial picture — tax, pensions, debt, spending, savings goals, and retirement planning — in one offline-first app.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Correct Scottish income tax

Scotland has six income tax bands. England has three. VAULT applies the right bands for your postcode, including the personal allowance taper above £100k and the effective 60% trap between £100k–£125k. No other consumer finance app handles this correctly by default.

Common questions

Yes. The core app stores everything in your browser's local storage — nothing is sent anywhere. If you choose to enable cloud sync (a Pro feature), your data is encrypted in transit and stored in your personal Supabase-backed account. You can export and delete your data at any time. We do not sell or share data with third parties.
Scotland has six income tax bands versus England's three, and the rates diverge significantly above £27,000. A Scottish higher-rate taxpayer paying 42% (not 40%) sees a meaningful difference in take-home pay calculations. If your app doesn't account for this, every take-home figure, pension contribution optimisation, and FIRE projection is slightly wrong — and those small errors compound over time.
Yes. VAULT is built around a two-person household model. Each person has their own income, tax code, pension type, and student loan plan. The combined view shows household net income, combined retirement projections, and shared debt progress. Person names are fully configurable.
All three: the 1995 section (final salary, 1/80th accrual, automatic lump sum), the 2008 section (final salary, 1/60th, no automatic lump sum), and the 2015 CARE scheme (career average, 1/54th revalued annually). It calculates projected annual pension and lump sum at your chosen retirement age based on your current salary and years of service.
No. VAULT is a calculation and projection tool. It uses the information you provide to calculate figures based on current tax rules and your inputs. Nothing in the app constitutes regulated financial advice. For advice on investments, pensions, or significant financial decisions, speak to a qualified financial adviser.
